Remote Online Notary Signing Solutions
We are proud to offer RON (Remote Online Notary) solutions for our clients. Click the link below to see if your transaction qualifies.
What is Remote Online Notarization?
Remote Online Notarization ("RON") is a way for you and your closer to complete your document signing (including notarization) remotely via webcam and a specialized software platform.
What transactions can use RON?
Key parties in the transaction must approve the use of RON. This includes the title companies, title underwriters, and the borrowers' lender.
A RON signing is best for clients who cannot find local access to a notary, such as clients outside the United States or clients unable to travel.
What clients qualify for RON?
Client has 6+ months of credit history in the United States.
Client is either a U.S. Citizen OR a resident alien with a social security number.
Client has a valid, non-expired, government-issued photo ID.
Client speaks a shared language with their closer.
Client has the necessary technology and feels confident navigating it:
A computer, tablet, or smartphone with a microphone, camera, and speakers.
A stable, private internet connection.
An email address.
Why these requirements? RON closings utilize advanced, secure technology and follow unique regulations. This includes using "knowledge-based authentication" (KBA) questions to validate a client's identity (so we know we have the right person signing!) This KBA process asks the client questions based on public records and credit history. If you have specific questions about your RON qualifications, please reach out to us!
